(You will have to input the amount in the “other” field.) ATTENTION: Membership Dues Proof of Payment o Due to some logistical complications, we need every member who has paid their dues to forward the “email receipt” they received to Israel.trevino@stcl.edu. Additionally, please make sure to copy and past the following in the subject line: “Proof of HLSA Dues Payment” Please make sure to copy the bolded and underlined phrase exactly as it is within the quotation marks so that all emails may be accounted for. Members of HLSA were able to attend the inaugural Lawtina Network Summit. This impactful event was hosted by St. Mary’s Law School and was led by law student Brianna Chapa. The weekend-long summit hosted Latina pre-law students, law students, and attorneys. Panelists included Justices Rebeca Martinez and Dori Contreras, the Honorable Judge Antonia Arteaga, and U.S. District Court Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo. Attorneys from all over the country joined as panelists and sponsors for this year’s event.
The summit also featured Jill Lynch Cruz, PhD whose research and studies have shown the challenges Latinas have faced in the legal industry and the strategies needed to improve marginal gaps in employment. Motivation, success, and mentorship were all topics surrounding this year’s Lawtina Network Summit. It was an honor and a pleasure for STCL’s students to have been given the opportunity to experience the companionship of the hermanas who attended this event. HLSA'S DRIVE-IN CONCERT! |
